Hi tck1,

According to a very authoratative source, the closest I could find is
the elevation of Latitude: 27° 57' 51" Longitude: -82° 26' 16".

Would this interest you?

Hi tck1,

After trying a different approach, I was able to locate the elevation
for the exact coordinates given.

Using the USGS National Map Viewer,
http://nmviewogc.cr.usgs.gov/viewer.htm I found the location by the
coordinates. I then used the elevation icon as I clicked on the exact
location. The result is this:

Elevation Lookup Results
Elevation: 30 Feet

Latitude: 27° 57' 54"

Longitude: -82° 26' 17"

U.S. National Grid (USNG) Coordinates:
17R LL 58559 94145 (NAD83)

Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Coordinates:
17 358559 3094145

I hope this is helpful. If you have any questions regarding my answer
please don?t hesitate to ask before rating it.

Your answer is acceptable and I do thank you for it. However, as the
"commentator" pointed out the coordinates in my question are given in
degrees and decimal minutes, not degrees minutes and seconds to which
you referred. If you want to look this up see this URL:

In any case I have my answer. Thank you also to tsilverman-ga (the
commentator) for his feedback on this!

According to Google Earth, 19~20 feet.

The coordinates in the question are given in degrees and decimal
minutes, not degrees minutes and seconds (I verified this with Google
Earth). So the point in question is, to the nearest second:

Latitude: 27° 57' 32"

Longitude: -82° 26' 12"

which is approximately half a mile away from the point presented in the Answer.

As the previous commenter noted, Google Earth puts the elevation at
the point in question at 20 feet. As a double check,

http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/coastal/coastal.html

gives the elevation at that point as 6.0 m, which is, to the closest foot, 20 feet.

I looked on a topo map and I 100% know that the location is 26 feet in
elevation above sea level.
