These are completely different terms. The Permiership is the English
league system's first class league, with participation of "first
division" teams, like Arsenal, Liverpool, Man-U.

The Champions' League is a European series. It consists of the first
clubs (the leagues' campions, and in some leagues, like the English
league - also those who came in afterwards: places 2-4 in the English
Premier League)

You might have gotten the Championship and the Premiership mixed up.
The English league Championship is the league second in rank, after
the Permier League:
