There was a music video sometime in the 70s with an animated frog or
toad, I can't recall. I can't recall the lyrics and it was rather Pop
style music (think ELO, Paul McCartney... upbeat and happy). I think
one of the lyrics in the chorus was "Love is all..." If you could let
me know the name of the artist and the song, I'd appreciate it!

Are you certain that this is from the '70s? Paul McCartney made a
charming video of the song "We All Stand Together" that was released
in 1984.

Could this be your music video?

Thanks, but that's not it. The Frog Song is much slower paced and
aimed at kids. The tune I'm thinking about was quite catchy, fast
paced, and basically a cartoon in vivid colors of this frog (wearing a
baseball cap, maybe?) and its adventures. Sorry I'm vague but I was
probably 5 or 6 when it came out. 60's maybe, most likely 70s, but
definitely not 80s.

Thanks,
David

I don't know if this matters, but I was living in Europe at the time.
Perhaps a European band? I'm 100% certain that the lyrics were in
English though.

Thanks,
David

Here's a McCartney (nee Beatles) tune with those lyrics. Could this be the song?

"All you need is love, love...Love is all you need"

There is an audio clip from Roger Glover's "Love Is All" here (song #19):

Does that sound like your song?

I'm glad we were able to help you identify your song!

I found this on Roger Glover's official website:

"Whilst on the subject of The Butterfly Ball, I get many enquiries
about the animated film of Love Is All. I did not know this before but
there is a DVD available of a compilation of the work of Halas and
Batchelor, the animators, that includes The Butterfly Ball... It could
also be found on the 'Enhanced Multimedia Track' of the UK 1999
Connoisseur Release of 'Butterfly Ball'. It's Quicktime and decent
quality. Last but not least there is another DVD release called
"Hardin & York - Wind in the Willows, the Concert". It features 'Love
is all' as bonus track with the audio recorded live at the concert and
the animation as video part."

Roger Glover - the official website FAQ
http://www.rogerglover.com/writings/questiontime-faq.html

I've tracked down the recordings mentioned in the FAQ cited above:

Amazon: The Cartoons of Halas & Batchelor DVD
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/6305976309

Amazon: The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast [ENHANCED]

Amazon: Hardin & York's Wind in the Willows Rock Concert
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000083EFS

I hope this helps!

I think you are talking about Roger Glover's Love is All, which had an
animated frog in the video

Love is all, well love is all,
Love is all, can't you hear the call
Oh, love is all you need
Love is all you need at the Butterfly Ball

The song sounds like a knockoff of a Beatles song.

Hallo guys,

I'm also very glad that I could find finally this song, that I liked
su much when I was a child and still now. I'm from Belgium (Europe)
and I was on a wrong track, I was also looking with the Beatles, but
couldn't find it. I was also a child and every time it was on the
television I was so happy I've never heard it after that time. Thanks
a lot I'm boing to buy the DVD and the music.
