I need to locate a spreadsheet that shows the ROI of deploying LCD
Flatscreen monitors versus traditional CRT monitors. At the minimum it
should take into account power consumption, heat generation (cooling
requirements), resale value etc where I can plug in my costs for these
variables. A web only calculator is ok.

I have seen them around on the web but cant seem to readily locate a
free one. One of the LCD manufacturers should have it.

My expectation is that the spreadsheet will capture all the economic
reasons for one vs the other, but any supporting articles are
appreciated.

CRT = cathode ray tube = popular display thoughout most of the 20 th century.
LCD = liquid crystal display = widely used the last 20 years. There
are several more competing displays. It may be helpful to tell what
ROI stands for and give application details. At low data/refresh rates
The CRT needs lots more power and ventilation. Neil

ROI = Return on Investment.

Justification for paying the price difference between the bulkier CRT
computer monitors vs the newer LCD based flat panel displays. My
interest is in the monitors used for desktop computers in regular
office use.
