I'm looking for an old children's book - I vaguely remember the story.
It was about a little Chinese or Asian girl who had a golden ram or
coy fish and she went to a stream everyday to throw stones - I believe
she had a friend who was a little boy - I don't remember much but I
remember I loved the story when a teacher read it to me - I think it
was a well known book and had to be written before 1985 - any ideas?
