I need a list (excel sheet) with all the TSOs worldwide. TSOs are
Transmission system operators, i.e. operators of high voltage
electricity grids. There is typically one TSO per country. Depending
on whether they own the grids themselves or only operate it, they are
called TSO or ISO respectifely. From these TSO/ISOs I need the name,
continent/country, internet-homepage, ownership structure (if several,
their stake in%), revenue, EBIT, capital employed (i.e. total assets -
current
liabilities), km of grid per voltage level and number of employees
from the last annual report (typically 2004).
A good place to start with might be ETSO, the European TSO Association
(www.etso-net.org), they most probably have a list of all TSOs in
Europe as well a link to respective partner organization in the other
continents of the world. Another good source is probably the Eurpean
commission who regularily benchmarks at least the European TSOs.

Please contact me, as I will be able to send you already the list with
the neames of the European TSOs.

Hello,

It actually would help quite a bit to have the list of European TSO's
that you already possess.  If you could post the list here (keep in
mind:  this is a public forum), then we could use that information in
our further research.

Getting a list of TSO's worldwide *may* be possible.

However, finding the level of detail you require for each one -- name,
continent/country, internet-homepage, ownership structure (if several,
their stake in%), revenue, EBIT, capital employed (i.e. total assets -
current liabilities), km of grid per voltage level and number of employees --
would be a humongous task.

For the price you have set, I would imagine being able to retrieve
this level of information for just a handful of TSO's -- two or three,
tops --  but certainly not for each and every one around the world.

My advice would be to concentrate on the list itself -- just try to
find the names themselves, and their country of operation.

If the list can be had, then you can ask a follow-up question for
additional details.

As far as the U.S. goes there are a lot of TSO's. They usually man the
switching centers and cover the trans, subtrans, and distribution for
that county. There is usually one ISO (Independent System Operator)per
state that calls for generation,is the go-between for all the
different power providers, and makes the final decisions on high
voltage for the state. Just a little info I happen to have.
