The Problem: --------------------------- I have a website which allows visitors to download a software program. I have designed the site so that the download link is contained in a Flash movie. The link points to a Javascript function contained in the same webpage which contains the Flash movie. Flash Code : on(release){ getURL("javascript:download()"); } Javascript Function: function download(){ window.document.getElementById("frameB").src='http://www.mystore.com/Anything.exe'; } The problem my users are experiencing is that if they use IE6 and click on the Flash movie , a security panel opens up in the top bar of IE. Clicking on the bar and selecting "Allow blocked content" lets a user download the Anything.exe from mystore.com This doesnot happen in Firefox or any other browser. Nor does this happen when the javascript function is called from a text/graphic link. The security issue is scaring my customers away! Objective: ---------- I just need a flash button that triggers an .exe file download without producing the security warning mentioned above. |

The EXE being downloaded is already signed so I presume you are referring to an SSL Certificate. If so, wouldn't that mean the site has to be in HTTPS ? |

Yes, the site will need a valid SSL certificate. |
