I can't answer your question exactly, but I hope this helps. The
figures come from the 2001 U.S. Census.
Firms employing 500 - 999 employees = 8,572
Firms employing 1000 - 1499 employees = 2,854
Firms employing 1500 - 2499 employees = 2,307
Firms employing 2500 - 4999 employees = 1,770
Therefore Number of firms employing between 500 and 2499 employees is 13,733.
One might estimate that the number of firms employing between 2500 and
3000 employees is circa 360.

Thanks for the response. I found this data as well from the 2001
census. (Great Minds?) I am still looking for the definitive list. I
really appreciate the comment. Keep up the great work!

Why not simply contact the dept of labor, or just as accurate the dept of labor?

Hi,
Thanks for the assistance thus far. I am looking for a business list
that I could them datamine against to find more on these companies. I
do not believe that the Department of labor will help, unless they can
provide a list. If that is the case, whip it up and grab the 3 bucks
to answer this ?

Thanks!
