yes, I'm looking for house plans or house ideas. I have an architect
and I'm looking to guide him along and me along.

Picasso,

There are quite a number of resources on the web where you can explore
a large variety of house styles and specifications, and view images of
elevations and floor schematics.

You can also purchase detailed plans of the houses, if desired.

Here's an example of New England/Cape Cod style homes meeting your
general size and layout specs, at one such site:

http://snipurl.com/iekg

Is this the sort of input you're looking for?

If so, how many more examples would you like to look over?

And if not, can you let me know in a bit more detail just what you're after.

Thanks,

paf

Hmmm...the link I posted earlier doesn't appear to be working as it should.

Please try this one instead:

What was the question?

The customer seems to be asking someone to provide them with new house
plans for the lot they have described. However, they offered $100 and
new house plans would probably have a cost with a couple more 0's.

Picasso,
What a nice lot and what a nice project for you!
I am sure Paf or another Researcher can offer you a lot of help if you
explain just what you want.
House plans are one area that the web offers a lot of free
information, so much maybe that one needs help finding just what one
wants, and then one may discover that the variety of plans just
expands one's desire for the perfect one.

Search with "house plans" online and you will have an overwhelming response.
This site for example:

Picasso,
A Researcher has had a lock on your question for some time, perhaps
searching for and drafting advice on the best way to go about planning
your perfect home. It seems unlikely that a selection of house plans
would be satisfactory.

If you could provide any more information, it might help the process.

Picasso,
One or the other researcher is still looking. For the moment the lock is off.
If those houseplans on the sites offering such don't give you any
inspiration, you could look for real estate ads for houses on coastal
property.
You mention New England style architecture, which can suggest
different things to different people. The climate where your lot is
is also a factor.
I would be envisaging a house with an informal, large downstairs
living/family room opening onto a terrace; and upstairs, a living room
to take advantage of the view, maybe both with a fireplace, certainly
the upstairs living room. Maybe the kitchen can be downstairs with
the dining room or eating area of the family room also there., along
with laundry/housekeeping room, and a shower/bathroom; upstairs,
bedrooms and baths.
Yes, upstairs living room with a roofed porch over the downstairs area.

Give us some input, please.
Myoarin
