Question ID: 577410
High Again to the ones who reponded to my question back in February.
Another question. What does Kidney Disease or abnormalities have to
do with causing a false positive drug test for methamphetamines? I
still deny and refuse to go down without a fight with the State of
Utah. An update to my so called positive drug screen for meth is that
I have legal counsel. I had a hair drug test ordered by my Family
Doctor three weeks later after their urine screen. The results came
back non Dectectable for either amphetamines or methamphetamines. How
could this test not over throw the urine Test? Utah State states that
our state has not adopted this law so is not credible in their appeal
court. It has been 9 months since I first decided to appeal their
termination and not getting anywhere. My lawyer has suppened a second
confirmatory test and we have not seen any results. My professional
license was indeed revoked until this case is resolved. I need some
advise what to do. Some one help me with what I should do now. I
have paid out 11,500 to my attorney and I still feel like I where I
first started in february. There are more than one question in my
summary sorry for going from one fustration to another. If anyone out
there can fiqure out what I am aking please reply tp all questions
asked. Thanks

Hi Dale,

I look at all the drug testing questions, and your name looked
familiar to me, I answered a previous question you asked. I'm glad to
hear you are fighting to keep your license, and to clear your name.

These are the specific questions I found above:

1) What does Kidney Disease or abnormalities have to do with causing
a false positive drug test for methamphetamines?

2) How could this [hair] test not over throw the urine Test?

3) I need some advise what to do.

Any more questions? I'm fairly busy these days at a new [day] job,
but I will look into it for you if no one else does. -- Your question
will remain open for 30 days unless answered.

My questions are:

1) What does your attorney say?

2) Is there currently legislation in your state regarding the
acceptance of the hair tests? (Your attorney should know right off)
This is very troublesome because hair tests are much more definitive
than urine. Your questions interest me because my husband also got a
false positive for cocaine, and he had done NONE. Zero, Zip. He lost
a great job because of it.

Dale, I made a quick preliminary call to an RN who advised me that
since the kidney filters urine, and impurities, --disease or
abnormalities _could_ affect a drug test.

Unfortunately, I think this is new ground, --so few folks fight their results.

ALso Dale, save us some time and update with your city, county, and state.

Thanks Dale..

hi again cynthia. Well 15,000 dollars later and I thought I had a good attorney
The state of Utah offered me a plea pargin which I refused to sign it.
why? They wrote in the settlement that I had to admit ti "ingesting
ampheamines or metahphetamines. I would not admit to somethingn I did
not do. So my lawyer withdrew and I went to court representing
myself. It was humulating. I can't not believe the extent that all
services that are asociated with the state all go hand in hand.
Tampering with young adult medication should of been a federal offense
but the one that admitted didn't even get even a misdemeanor. Because
I stood up for what I believe I am sure mine will be revoked. The
Judicail system i believe now is your Guilty before and then you have
to try to prove your innoscent. I was a great Nurse with excellent
performance reveiws and I loved what I did. I wish I would of have
the intellgence and money to find a expert that urinalysis are in
trouble. My hair test was clean but a subjective opinion my a Medical
Assistant stated I bleached my hair. That was so far freom the truth.
I almost ready to dedicate time to help others who are put in the
same situation I was. If you know any expert witness that would like
to prove his or her theory on drug testing and chain of command is
violated all the time and that hair analysis regardless if you colored
your hair is so much more credible. Its a shame. I lost my husband a
house and I had to move 4 hours away to prevent the stress for getting
myself down. It would be great to hear a commnet from you again
