Some questions are hard to answer but easy to check an answer once you
have one. That's the kind you'll probably want to ask here.
Scope for checking may come when someone states their search strategy
or gives links to articles on different sites supporting an answer.
For example here's a google answer that was disputed
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=537216
and where you may be able to assess the truth of the opposing views. |

I know that there is some kind of Code of Conduct for GA-Researchers (Can't snig a commenter's earlier posting and post the information an answer, unless meaningful additional information is provided, for example). It is obvious that they are also required to explain their search strategy, thereby allowing anyone to check for him/herself. And even where it is apparent that they know the answer from their profession, they will as a rule support it with hyperlinks. If not, they will say so. And, if the questioner is unhappy with the answer, or if anyone clearly refutes it, they will have the posting removed. |

Glad you are satisfied with Bozo's and my comments. We are only talking about GA-Researchers, of course. Mere registered users, like the three of us, could be BSing, but on a serious question, someone would give our evil fingers a virtual rap. I rather doubt that a Researcher will post an answer now, out of professional modesty, as Efn-ga's having posted just a comment suggests, so you might close the question. Apparently, GA keeps statistics on unanswered questions, and it looks better for the Researchers if there are fewer of them. (I better go back and do the same for a couple of mine!) Cheers, Myoarin |

Short answer: you dont. Long answer: the knowledge of many outweighs the few. This allows the collective knowledge to come through, and provide you with the best answer avaliable. Many people of many backgrounds and specialties use this service, and thusly there is a large pool of knowledge to draw from. It also means that the right answer is here somewhere, and will usually find its way to you. |
