Question ID: 577936
What probable percentages of individual ingredients would make a
solution that is both stable and non-irritant to skin. Ingredients
listed in likely order, greatest first:

1. Propylene Glycol (humectant)
2. Chlohexidine Gluconate (4% for effective antisepsis- cannot be altered)
3. Potassium Carbonate (ph control)
4. Castor Oil ( Added to Potassium Carbonate at some stage to make Potassium
   Castorate - when & how.)?
This should make a cationic & moderately alkaline solution with a
good shelf
  life.

  Thank you so much,

  James Catchpole

Hi slimjim1-ga,

Would you be interested in how this has been done for other past
products, i.e., patent descriptions, or are you looking for a novel
formulation?

Hello Researcher,
I believe this will be a novel formulation. It could be a tool used
in dermatology, general practice etc. The idea/method of application
has a pending patent.
I do know that Gehwol, a German Foot Care company, uses propylene
glycol in their product called Gewhol Fluid ( %'s ingredients unknown
to me) but my idea is to expand the range of uses, method of
application and add antiseptic properties. I am confident their
product is not patented but I know to be careful of intellectual
property rights.
I have already safeguarded the concept with an online pre-patent company called
File Reg. (I would like to know if any other bodies have patented
anything similar in the normal way but I wonder how far your remit
extends for $200!)

Yours in confidence,

I look forward to any googling good ideas,

james.
