Hello. I'm hoping someone can help me find a list of ALL major Universities in America. This list needs to also include 2-year colleges as well, at least the major ones. This list CANNOT include for-profit private colleges (i.e. university of pheonix, maric college of medical careers, etc.). I need to list to have the college name and its corresponding zip code. If you can find more information about the school too (i.e. phone, address, its acronym, whether it is a university or college,) please let me know what in particular you found. I would prefer for the question to be in a format that I may enter into a mysql database. If you can create this information into a dumpable file, that would be perfect. CVS format would be nice too, but it has to be organized in a way that I can dump it into a mysql database. Idealistically, this is my database format: Table Name: colleges college_name college_acronym (optional) college_zip Thanks people! | |

The list is in Excel format, and includes the college name, city, state, zip code, and phone number. Please save it to your local system, as the above link is not permanent. The list was created from the Department of Education's Dataset Cutting Tool, which can be seen here: http://nces.ed.gov/ipedspas/dct/ Let me know if you have any questions about the list, or if there's anything else you need on this.
