I am looking for a website (or a few of them) that can plot news
alerts inside of a stock chart. Clearstation plots earnings,
dividends, and stock splits but I am also looking to see what news
events may have triggered an uptick or downtick in history. I would
imagine the news alerts should be able to be toggled on/off and
pertain to that company's symbol.

Bloomberg Professional allows you to do almost exactly that. You can
run your mouse along the stock chart and click to pull up any news
stories about the company on that day.

Free services... I think that's a little too specialized for someone
to be giving away.
