A copy of the "Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act" 1970, is available through Amazon books for 3.30 pounds at http://www.amazon.co.uk/ According to Infolaw the text of the act is not available online http://www.infolaw.co.uk/lawfinder/results.asp A fairly exhaustive online search failed to find the full text. Acts of Parliament and Statutory Instruments can be accessed via HMSO's website at http://hmso.gov.uk. However, full texts are available for Acts only since January 1996 and for SIs since January 1997. I cannot find citations of circulars to the Department of Education. Search Terms: "Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act" 1970, acts parliament, law UK, text "Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act" , copy "Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act", English laws I hope this is of some use. |

Took ages. Got no more than me. & Jeeves (ask.co.uk) Older Law is available from House of Lords Record Office - by mail or fax. Surely lawyers have some easy web access to Laws thro a professional site? Thanks for trying. Chris |

Chris- Like you, I thought surely there must be web access, but if there is it is certainly well hidden. I spent about 2 1/2 hours going around in circles. Of course, I did come to realize that the UK has laws back to 1066 to contend with as opposed to our meagre three centuries worth here in the US. I'm afraid the printed version is actually all there is. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help. Nellie Bly |
