Hello, I have a medical question. When I was younger my right hand index finger was "jammed" in a dodge ball game. It swelled up and I put ice on it to lower the swelling. After the swelling went down and there was no pain in the finger, the proximal-interphalangeal joint remained swollen. I had it x-rayed and the doctor says they can't do anything about it. I can still use the finger but I would like the finger to look normal. Is there any way for me to get it back to look like a normal finger. Do I have to break it and reset the joint to do so? I would like to know. |
