ladyjay...

Certainly they're a threat, along with other malware. They can
put a business server offline, either by being placed on the
server itself, or by way of denial-of-service (DOS) attacks
from other computers unknowingly infected with trojans.

Security should be a major concern for any ebusiness.

A previous answer of mine details free or cost-effective methods
to ensure a bulletproof system for a home user, and it will go
a long way toward helping you understand the security needed to
prevent virus infections in a business system:

Businesses may opt to take a more professional approach to
security, by having their systems analyzed and by installing
paid professional solutions which would provide some measure
of immediate support in the event of a problem.

Let me know where this takes you, and what else you might
need to satisfy your interests in asking this question...
