Question ID: 578588
I'm looking for a list of websites that allow anybody to host their
images and/or other type files.

Customers should have the ability to link to these files directly from
other websites.

I'm looking for sites that do not charge any money, and do not
watermark or otherwise mess with the images/files when presented on
different webpages.

Thanks for your time.

I've used File Anchor with much success. You can show thumbnails as
well as the original image size for uploaded photos. The service is
likewise useful for all other type of files such as PDFs and such.

It also provides you with HTML code for pasting a URL and/or code for
use in forums.

it depends on what you want to do exactly. in my opinion, the best
service at the moment is provided by www.flickr.com (especially if you
are into blogging).

then there of course is also www.photobucket.com. photobucket lets you
enable hotlink protection.

photobucket also provides the - in my opinion - most handy online
picture tool: www.tinypic.org: it allows you to upload and host single
files on the fly w/o the need for registering or anything like that.
