What method of compensation can a non-lawyer get for referring a lawyer to a client? can it be called a marketing fee, finders fee, referral fee, investigator's fee. If the non-lawyer must become a "Legal Referral Service", what is the procedure? I've seen sites that get fees from lawyers and the sites themselves are not legal sites. | |

I found a Lawyer Referral Service that "Meets ABA Standards" and found the page that describes those standards. I don't know how far-reaching this standard is, but it is interesting, and relevant to your query. ABA Standards http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/lris/meetsabastds.html |
