Can I download and synch my Yahoo email with Outlook? How?

I want to be able to send and receive email through Outlook, and be
able to view email offline.

I am running XP on a Thinkpad that I bought a couple weeks ago.

Thanks Sid! (and others)

I ponied up the $20 for Yahoo Plus. It is working fairly well,
although it is downloading my mail repeatedly and putting duplicates
in my Inbox. Need to figure that out now....

yes, you can, however, you need to have a paid account for this
feature: http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/ - it is about 20 dollars for
a year. the outlook settings you will find in the yahoo email help. i
have used it before and it works perfectly fine.

however, i suggest using gmail.com, as it supports this outloo (pop
mail) feature at no additional cost. instructions here:

last but not least there is yahoo mail sucker
(http://freshmeat.net/projects/yosucker/) - i havent tried it myself,
but it suposedly works fine for downloading your yahoo mail even in
the free version.

i hope this answered your question
rock on - sid

Download yahoopops from http://sourceforge.net/projects/yahoopops/
Follow the simple instructions to install and configure. It is working
great for me. Only the hitch is sending mails with attachments biggere
than few 100 KB.
