Hi katie2023-ga,

Do you just want names, or does that include contact information?

Will that be (a). ALL graduates in the year range, or (b). AS MANY AS
POSSIBLE in the year range of request?

Thanks,

kyrie26-ga

For Kyrie26-ga, a list of full names is the most important thing I'm
after. Locations aren't that important, and in fact, not necessary.
And yes, I need a full list. I suspect the base place to look is in
the school's yearbooks but I haven't figured out how to get to those
without traveling to Canyon, a prospect I'm not interested in. I
thought the Library of Congress might have the yearbooks but I was
unable to find them.

Hi katie --

Well, I've done a search and found nothing except the following which
includes a link to the 2002 graduates list --

"CANYON, Texas—For the first time in almost 15 years, West Texas A&M
University hosted its own graduation ceremony on campus and awarded a
total of 562 degrees during spring commencement exercises May 10 at
the WTAMU Event Center. The University awarded 454 baccalaureate and
108 master's degrees."

http://www.wtamu.edu/administrative/pre/com/releases/6-18-02/graduation.htm

This leaves me to wonder who hosted the previous graduations and
therefore might have published the lists. I assume Texas A&M. Then, I
wonder if the graduates on those lists, should we find them, are
identified as WTAMU graduates in some way. I tried the general TAMU
and alumni sites, to no avail.

I found the same thing as well and also some listings in the Amarillo
local paper archives but not a comprehensive list.

Hi

I sent an e-mail to Randy Welch ( rwelch@mail.wtamu.edu )
on August 23, asking where I could get the list of graduates from West
Texas A&M University between 1995 and 2001.

This is the reply I received today from Lisa Dingman.
E-mail: EDingman@mail.wtamu.edu

“Rowdy Welch forwarded a request from regarding grad students and
graduation data, because of confidentiality regulations we have
specific
requirements as to who we can and cannot give out that information to.
If you could give me greater detail we could more adequately make that
decision,
Thank you,
Lisa Dingman
WTAMU
Planning and Analysis Asst. Director”

Now it’s up to you to write to Lisa with additional details of your
request.

Regards,
Bobbie7-ga
