I think I am interested in going into a Venture Capital-centric career. There are a few things I'd like to know. Specifically: 1) What exactly do Venture Captial firms do? -there must be different kinds/focuses for each firm -what do they do on a typical day? 2) Open positions -typical levels/reporting structure with pay scale? -What background/skills do they look for in a new hire candidate? 3) What are the major VC firms in NYC, Chicago and SF? 4) MBA -Do I need to get an MBA to be hired by one of these good firms? -What are the best MBA schools for VC? THANK YOU |
