I recently found a site that reviewed cell phone carriers and their
service - not cell phones.  I can't remember where or how I found it,
but I know the site had Cingular, T-Mobile and the other larger
carriers mentioned.

Is my description too vague, or can you help me?

Neither of the sites offered by galincog-ga is the right site.  I
guess I need to clarify my question a bit.  But, I can only think of
"hints", because I just don't know how to pose this in a question.

I know the site had survey results, fcc complaints and a bunch of
other information to compare carriers.  If I remember correctly, it
also told something about the network each carrier used, and the pros
and cons of the network.

I don't know if this will help any.

here is one site that i really liked when researching for cell phone
carriers as well as cell phones:

You can search where the towers are. Also type in your zip code and
people rate and discuss how good the carrier are in your area which is
more accurate than any general review you will get.

The tough part is that different areas of the country have different
better providers. For instance, what's good in the Minneapolis area is
not necessarily going to be the best provider in Independence, Iowa.

What area are you in? Don't get too specific, just major city, if that applies.

JD Power and Associates does a comprehensive survey of wireless
customer satisfaction. It includes call quality by region, customer
service ratings, and (I think) volume of FCC complaints. Try:
