Is there a scientific car rating report in China that is similar to U.S. consumer report's automobile rating (model, year, repair frequency) and U.S. car safety impact test report? if such reports do not exist, are there other credible reports? I am looking for a passenger car to drive in Shanghai area. So far, i have only found individual opions fro magazines and web. They don;t seem to be credible. |

Virtually all the taxis in Beijing are Chinese made VW Santana, a very well seasoned product. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VW_Quantum To what extent it meets "U.S. car safety impact test" standards? Traffic in China is pretty tame compared with lots of countries, even some European ones, and you won't be driving much at freeway speeds. Just one man's opinion, Myoarin |

Well, that is one model. Perhaps I should have recommended a Chinese built Polo: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/en/doc/2003-12/01/content_286150.htm |
