Question ID: 579658
I need a shark greater than 5 feet long, preferrably a bull shark
(carcharhinus leucas) although I guess any will do, for dissection by
a high school biology class in the Greater Los Angeles area. A
preserved specimen would be ideal, but none seem to exist, so a
recently caught shark is fine as long as it's relatively
fresh.

Anyone who can tell me a reliable (specific) place to get a large
shark anywhere in Southern California will have answered this
question... and I'll give them a $20 tip if we actually end up purchasing one.

Origin doesn't matter to me at all, I just thought it would be
simplest to get one that was caught in California (since shipping a
150-pound shark from Texas via UPS would cost about $300). However...
if you'd be willing to transport one here (while keeping it relatively
fresh)... make me an offer.
Thanks!

I do not know whether you have to have a bull shark from the
california area specifically, however we catch bull sharks, black
tips, mackos all the time we live near freeport, texas and yes they
are normally over 5 feet long.....let me know cause catching one is
easy here !
Good luck in your ventures !

If you are serious please contact me at nightrangergirl@gmail.com and
hopefully we can discuss this further over the phone as I would be
willing to help cover costs of shipping.

I appreciate your time - Diane
