Here is one example in India: http://www.livertransplantindia.com/appointment.asp Here's some general information about coming to India for medical purposes and a list of hospitals: http://www.tourismofindia.com/exi/hitechhome.htm Sorry, I know this doesn't answer your question... I'm just providing some possibly helpful information. |

Bankok, Thailand is where many of my expat (in China) acquaintances go for American-quality medical care for very low prices. I understand they have a pizza hut and McDonalds in the lobby of one of the hospitals. |

Check medicalcountries.org for a list of costs, doctors, and hospitals. Prices in India are as much as 1/20 the cost of the U.S. medical charges. Air Fares and the solution to other medical travel problems are also give. |

The best hospital in Bangkok, Thailand is Bumrungrad: http://www.bumrungrad.com/ I've been there a few times (for minor interventions), and it seems to be better, and doctors more professional than most hospitals I've seen in the U.S. Actually, I've seen a specialist who graduated from a top U.S. med school (Ann Arbor) last time I've been there. Of course, you'll have to check what doctor is available for your specific ailment. Watch out if you need large blood transfusions -- some blood types are very rare in Thailand (but common among Caucasians). |
