I am trying to setup a download link for an MP4 video on my Website. However, whenever I try to download it on a Mac with Safari browser it just comes up as text not video. If I rightclick and save the video to the desktop it automatically appends .txt to the end of it. I understand this is because my webserver sends them as "text/plain", which is why most browsers (all browser that behave correctly) will treat it as text. I found some information here: http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?s=f321258aade3082f44165cd86c29b956&p=244689#post244689 However, this doesn't work because if you right-click save as it tries to download the php script not the video. If you click it it tries to play back in safari which doesn't support Mp4. I will pay for a solution that will either allow me to be able to right-click and download without .txt being appended to the end or to be able to download directly into apples iTunes. I need an answer very quickly so get your thinking caps on. Thanks very much. |
