Mhcohen,

I can give you an estimate on how much New York City dog owners are
spending per year on their dogs using the following figures:

- Number of owned dogs in New York City
- Average amount that is spent on each dog per year in the U.S.

Would this estimate meet your purpose?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

I believe an average will not be sufficent. Is there anyway to narrow
it down to New York City?

I agree with you about the average not being good enough as New
Yorkers tend to spend more on their dogs than dog owners in other
cities.

If I find anything I'll let you know. In any case your question is
still open and another researcher may have the figures you need.

Best regards,
Bobbie7
