How many (please provide list of) shows exist that are like
American/Canadian idol where viewers either regularly call in to vote
or call-in for a finale of some sort?

What you are essentially asking for (as your question is currently
worded) is a list of ALL television programs (like "Idol" shows) where
call-in votes are accepted. Rearchers stay clear of questions that
request "all" of something because there's no accurate way to verify
that all sources have been found. For best results you might consider
modifying your request and placing a specific limit on this "list"
commensurate with the price you are offering.

I don't personally know of any that are currently accepting votes (or
any one place that provides such a list) but I can tell you a few
shows that air occassionally that do accept votes from viewers as a
means of determining winners. In other words, there are some shows
that incorporate viewer voting into their finale when they air during
their regularly scheduled season, but are currently between seasons at
the moment. Are these shows aceptible as an answer?

Also, for the purposes of your question are you referring only to US shows?

Any shows in North america that use a telephone # to allow viewers to
vote for either general episodes or finales would be acceptable that
are currently NOT CANCELLED or DISCONTINUED.
In between seasons is fine as pretty much everything is between seasons :)

When her term is up (assuming she does not get assassinated or
