The was a John H Ward born 23 March 1924 that died in San Diego 23
July 1999. It is pretty far from either of the two Glendales in
California.

Yep, you read that correctly-- there are TWO locations named
"Glendale" in California. The common one is in LA County, the other is
not far from Eurak in Northern California.

There was a John T Ward that died at the age of 87 in 1999 in
Glendora, CA, a John A Ward that died at the age of 83 in Los Angeles
in 2001, and a John J Ward of Manhattan Beach (LA County) died at 81
in 2000.
