Hi guys,

I am the CEO of a small strategic marketing firm (as opposed to a
marketing communications firm). Our firm has recently won a large
account in the CRM software space. I want to make a press release and
send it to the following periodicals and analysts.

Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to provide the email
address used by each of the above periodicals and/or analysts to
receive press releases.

PS - I am aware that this particular news may not be picked up by most
of the above periodicals however there will be other releases in the
future and I am trying to get prepared.

For an acceptable answer you need to get 85% of the email addresses.
Also I am not certain I am offering enough for this job. Please let
me know if you think it isn't a fair amount. If it isn't appropriately
priced maybe we can tweak the requirements.

Hope you both are good,
Best regards,

Hi!

It seems that this will be a bigger challenge than I initially
thought. Would a better solution be that I will give the contact
information for the editorial and other staff of the website since
they are the ones that usually handle such press releases.

Of course if I find a definitive press release contact information, I
will place that instead.

Will this be ok?

Thanks!

Ok I will try to find the necessary contacts for you.

Would links to contact pages be just fine? Since we might come into
copyright trouble if we put the numerous contact information in one
page.

Thanks!

Hi EasterAngel,

Nice to email you again. Your suggestion is fine - lets do that.
Concerning payment. I will add a $20 tip to the $30 total. After
that just do the work you think is fair and appropriate. Note - At
this please consider the analysts a secondary priority. The media
contacts should be first priority.

Thanks EasterAngel!
Thanks Pink! BTW Pink some day I am going to get you to answer a
question for me <grin>

Sorry for the double post. I have no idea how that happened.

Clarification of Question by canbeonlyone-ga on 14 Oct 2005 18:12 PDT
EasterAngel,

I would rather just have the email addresses, because otherwise I am
going to have to go to each individual page to get the material (which
is what I am trying to avoid). If you think that is really a problem
let me know.

If you really need the contact people, I can give you probably the top
results for email address and just give you the link to the whole
thing in case they are not the right people to call. Since these
organizations might have different ways to accept press releases.

Will this be acceptable to you?

Thanks!

I am very flattered that you've mentioned me! This is outside my areas
of expertise, so I'll pass.

I do suggest that you increase your price, since this kind of
extensive project is likely to take many hours (possibly days) of
work.

Thanks Pink. Unfortunately I have to be a little careful. We have a
big new deal but it will not pay off for a long-time and money is
tight for a new business (Before this was a sideline business - I had
a full time job :-)).

What amount would you suggest might be more fair?

Thanks!

This is essentially 52 research projects. Pricing the question at $2
per item will probably get you a good response. That's not written in
stone, of course. Since this isn't the kind of thing that I do best, I
am just guessing, based upon the results of successful searches that
I've seen other Researchers post.

Thank you so much for your kind words, the 5 stars and for the very
generous tip! Yes I hope we can collaborate on another research
project in the very near future. :)
