Hello hpslott-ga,

Take a look at these images, especially the trademarks. Your figurines
are very different in execution although they're on the same themes as
Hummel and Goebel.

Why do you think your figurines are Hummel of Goebel? Where did you buy them?

Good luck.

Hello again hpslott-ga,

I think your figurines may be from occupied Japan. These figurines
were frequently cheap imitations of famous brands and yours look like
imitation Hummels. Here's an article that gives a brief introduction.

http://www.gotheborg.com/index1.htm?http://www.gotheborg.com/qa/oj.shtml
Occupied Japan
A term used for Japanese export from 1945 to 1952

"Occupied Japan" (OJ) is a term used for the time period from 1945
(after World War II) through April 25, 1952; it was during this time
that the Allies "occupied" Japan.

Many of the figurines were cheaply made, and looked it. But the
Japanese had a wonderful talent for mimicry - you will find pieces
that you would swear are Dresden and when you turn them upside down,
you will find "Made in Occupied Japan!"

Can you tell us anything more about your figurines?

Hello,
I agree entirely with Czh, not Hummel or Goebel. Well-known
manufacturers' pieces are clearly marked. These are nice, somewhat in
the style of Danish figurines by Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Gröndahl,
which are, as said, well marked and finer in the details, such as the
fingers.
I have browsed masses of figurines on Google Images. These two Danish
sites provided the best results. The first one has a great many
figurines, also some Spanish ones in this style, but I noticed that
the line on the bases of yours is a rare feature, but something that I
expect the manufacturer would have on all figurines on one theme, so
that they all matched.
If this very long threads don't work, try to use the the bits after
the second http to .dk

Since you have the photos downloaded, perhaps the people at the first
site could /would offer you advice.

Good luck, Myoarin
