2.	What is Singapore?s primary industries;
3.	The population of Singapore and its racial breakdown; and finally,
4.	It would be helpful if you could find a photo of Singapore before
it had skyscrapers and another photo showing its modern architecture.

It seems that just about everything you asked for is available in this

Even an old photo from 1970 is included, although perhaps not quite
the direct old/new comparison you are looking for.

To sum up in a short sentence,
1) good location for both ship and air 
2) good goverment for making sure everything works
3) good people who just want to make a simple livin
