I seek a charity to fully or partially support a child through
university. The child is someone i used to teach and is very bright.
He lives with his grandmother who is on income support who could not
help him financially at all. His mother died last year. He lives in
Camden, London UK. He is 15 years old, so would go to university in 3
years time. I would like to invest in the charity too.

I would not worry too much
- take a careful look at the UK 'Student Loans'
- they can only collect 10% of your income
(pre or post tax and after what limit - I'm not sure)

At first I was outraged by loans and fees
- now I realize it is just a way of Gordon Brown pretending that UK
borrowing is less than it really is - like the Private Finance
rubbish.

In effect 'student loans' are just a higher rate of tax for people who
do well after University.

It is a filtering system to restrict the numbers going into further
education, bright people will ignore it, thick people will fall for it
- which is what a filter is for.

'Education for all' is a catchy slogan
- it turned into 'Inappropriate education for all'

And that is why they produced the 'fear factor' - to cut the numbers.

If the kid is good, then get him/her to look into the matter
- but stay really quiet about what they found
- run with a con - don't change it
