Additional information needed:

1. You are trying to install Windows 98 SE onto a laptop computer by
running the installation program on your main computer? As far as I
know, that is next to impossible. Frankly, I cannot think of a way to
do it.

2. Just stick the Win98SE disc into the laptop's optical disc drive,
then reboot the laptop. No problem. If the laptop does not have an
optical disc drive, use an external optical drive. That might work.
