I have a new computer,a PC,operating system win XP PRO,I upgraded op
system from Win 2000 to XP PRO. When I try to reinstall my software
program COLORBYTE V 5.6 it is a RIP printing program the installation
stalls out.The task manager says that the SPLASH SCREEN is not
responding. It has nothing to do with my key board or virus/spyware
programs.Ihave disabled these and it still does not work.HOW CAN I GET
THE SPLASH SCREEN TO RESPOND.

Hi deanm123,

Just a thought, have you updated zip software installed or the most
recent version of WinZip? The Colorbyte documentation suggests this as
a possible solution to a similar problem.

hummer, ihave the updated zip installed,i think that it has to do with
the op system installed, win 2000 pro/win xp pro they were installed
the same day.When i fool around i can get that ADAPTEC-ASPI 4.71.2
setup not properly installed one or more components have been replaced
with older versions of the software. -not installed-WOW Post.exe and
WinAspi.dll. I hoe this helps I have no idea what it means-not that
