I'm wanting to identify three performers, all vocalists who probably
performed widely in New York City around the 1930s and 40s, especially
in the area of New Music. I am working from references to them at WNYC
in 1940. All of them were involved with German refugees of the period.
I have little to go on, but they were almost certainly very famous
people in their own circles, and even a last name should be enough:
Leore Meyer, Rose Landwehr, and a Miss Dick (who performed songs by Webern)

I need enough info about each of them to write short notes identifying them.
Info about date of birth and decease, career, musical studies, would
be to the point.

This ad is for Leore (or perhaps Leonore) Meyer. Other ads can be
found here for each of the other singers.
