I have just replaced my Hard Drive on my system with a higher speed
one that I call drive C. The old one is drive D whish works fine. Both
drives were setup and running Windows ME. I simply made the new drive
MASTER and the old one SLAVE.

I need to know how I can transfer/merge my address book and e-mails
(Outlook Express )
from the older drive D to my new drive C which is currently
collecting e-mail (Outlook Express). I realize I will have some
duplicity in the address
book, but would like this to be handled somehow. I have several
folders where e-mail is archived. If all folders can be moved with
e-mail preserved in them that would be perfect as well as I have no
access to them now.

I don't know if this is possible to do with Windows but perhaps
there's a utility I haven't found yet or would XP allow this to work.
If I converted Drive C to XP I wonder if that might work. If there's a
utility made that will solve this problem of merging old to new I
haven't found it yet.

Hi zuck-ga,

Your question is one that I'm sure many people have asked when they
change various hardware configuration within their system. The
following is a step-by-step procedure for bring in all the information
from the OLD Outlook Express into the NEW Outlook Express. Be aware,
though, that there is currently no way to synchronize the two
installations...for example if you receive an email when on the C
Drive, it will not be able to reflect this change in the Outlook
Express on the D Drive.

EXPORTING ADDRESS BOOK FROM DRIVE D

1. Boot up in Drive D (old) and start Outlook Express
2. Go to File > Export > Address Book > Text File (comma seperated
values)
3. Click Export and then Browse
4. Save this file and remember the location and filename (you will
need to access it using the new drive so if you can't see the other
drive you can save it to a floppy disk. Make sure the "type" is Comma
Seperated Values.
5. Select all the fields you want to keep (if you're not sure just
select them all)
6. Click "Close"

IMPORTING ADDRESS BOOK INTO DRIVE C
1. Boot up in Drive C (new) and start Outlook Express
2. Go to File > Import > Other Address Book > Text File (comma
seperated values)
3. Click browse and find the file you exported previously and then
click Next
4. Make sure the mapping is correct (ie. the fields match up properly)
and then click Finish

I just realized that the message exporting feature will not allow
exporting to a file but only directly to a program...since you are
running two seperate operating systems, the two programs will not be
able to "see" each other. If you have MS Outlook then there is a
workaround...let me know about this.

I've posted this information as a comment because it does not fully
