Lately, images such as pictures and icons don't appear on webpages
when I first go to them. Often, reloading will solve the problem, but
not always. Two examples are the icons along the top of the Yahoo
homepage (the ones marked finance, music, shopping, etc.) and the
masthead and photos on the New York Times homepage. Any clue as to the
problem?

Assuming you use Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options,
select the General Tab. Once there, in the center section (Temporary
Internet FIles) select Settings.

There, the "Automatically" _OR_ "Every visit to the page" selection
should be selected.

Is it one of those? If not, select one and check your machine.

Hard to tell without more information about your operating system,
browser-type and version, connection-speed etc. Please supply details.

Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com however, I have seen this
error a few times and the only other solution I have seen is try the
windows xp tcp/ip fix...
http://www.spychecker.com/download/download_winsockxpfix.html Use this
program and run it, it will not hurt, it will only restore your
explorer settings to default and usually get everything to start
working again.
