I purchased stock in the company The Edge Sports.Com, Inc. Is this still a viable holding? My last contact from them was in August 2000 from Jeff Givens. I see references to its wholly owned subsidiary TheEdgeZone.com but I can't find any reference to the corporation or its investor hotline. |

I'm sorry to say there's no record of an Initial Public Offering for The Edge Sports, Inc. or a subsidiary, nor a stock symbol, or any other evidence that stock was traded on any U.S. Exchange. I'm able to find 'memories' of the website through the Wayback Machine, and a mention of The Edge Sports, listed as a Presenter, at a Venture Capital Conference in Texas in 2000. The Edge Sports, Inc. does not appear to be currently listed as a corporation in the State of California. Unless you have more information, such as a registered stock symbol, tracing this investment through the Internet appears to dead end. The Web Archive Wayback Machine http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://theedgesports.com Calendar of Events Texas Venture Capital Conference http://www.iriscompany.com/newsletters/capital_update_fall00.pdf (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) HTML Version: http://216.239.53.100/search?q=cache:h7aegmgCYhsC:www.iriscompany.com/newsletters/capital_update_fall00.pdf+%22theedgesports%22+IPO&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&client=googlet California Secretary of State California Business Portal http://www.corp.ca.gov/fsd/lic/index.pl It would appear your investment falls into the category of Pre-IPO, or Private Share Stock. As such, it would be prudent to have your contract read and analyzed by an attorney who specializes in such, and who may be able to advise of you remedies and options available, if any. When i purchased this stock it was privatly held, and maybe never did go public. Looks like they registered as a Delaware corporation, last address in Denver CO. It may be the company that was sponsoring Jeff Imig. looks like their sponsorship fell through |

Sound like it was part of the dot-com bubble, the "new economy". Probably spent most of it's money sponsoring the racing team (marketing). You might want to talk to your tax accountant about writing off the loss. Hope it wasn't too much. The web site TheEdgeZone.com is "active" but tied to another name. You might want to reach someone through there (tiny contact us on the bottom). The old number for TheEdgeZone.com can be found using: ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22theedgezone.com%22+888 You might also contact Joe Boller from Froggette & Company in Wichita, KS about the shares. See if this name is in any of your paperwork. Rumors (can't substantiate): Jeff Givens is loading trucks for UPS. R. Stevens is teaching karate. Robert Little, a retail store owner in CA, got out earlier. Bond holder took over most of remaining assets (domain name). Many people had losses. |
