Looking for web site or download that give x-section dimensions of "I" beams, channels, angles, etc. Need section modulus, Inertia, etc. I can't find one! I have it in Machinery's Handbook but would prefer to have in on computer. Thanks! 3rrotec | |

You can?t download the AISC Manual of Steel Construction for free; only the Specifications. AISC is asking $120 (!!) for the electronic version of what 3rrotec1 is looking for, and $240 for the Manual. 3rrotec1, I?m about 99.92% sure you?re looking for something free on US shapes, and I wish you luck. But just in case you're in the UK, try: http://www.roymech.co.uk/Useful_Tables/Sections/steel_section_index.htm#tables And just in case you want to go the expensive route: http://www.aisc.org/Template.cfm?Section=Technical_Answers&template=/ECommerce/ProductDisplay.cfm&ProductID=202 I'm sure someone adept at searching the web could find a cheaper source. -cab |
