Arrgh, why'd you ask this on a
Saturday in the afternoon! hehe
;o)

No one is around to answer the
question. I got no less than 5,
"If you call back on Monday, I'm
sure (insert name) would know"

So far I have found the 65, and
the 71. And a 66 with a 440.

I read that there were only badge
changes from 65 to 66..., do you
think the 65 would be the same
weight?

The variances I have found so far
are 3300lb, all the way up to 4200.
A difference of 70lb from coupe to
sedan on the 71 model.

Still looking... I know why you
asked us :-)

Hi cc...

I exhausted every online resource I
could find and emailed at least a dozen
people, who are probably thinking
I'm stark raving mad. ;0)

No weight found. I found years all
around, all kinds of info...

Here are some links you might like that I
found along the way:

It seems the people I talked to at the
local dealerships might be shy on years
and/or inquisitiveness, because all I got
was, call back on Monday.

Maybe another researcher out there owned
one of these, or has a manual laying
around?

Can you let us know if there are other
years that would be similar? I found
that the '65 is rather close.

good luck, and if no one has answered
this by Monday, I'll dig it up, I
just need a person with some sense
at a dealership, who is willing to
talk.

hi there--thanks for the obsessive effort. i don't give up easily, but
i gave up on this one. i even have the owner's manual for the car,
and it is not in there.

the 1965 data would be fine. I'd be interested in knowing the weight
of the 1966 convertible with the 440, but it would be cheating were i
to use it...

i found that the 1962 Chrysler 300 convertible weighed more than the
hardtop...

anyway, yes, the 1965 would be fine. but it must be the convertible!

thanks!

Ok... I don't know anything about anything when it comes to cars, but
let me ask you this... do you actually HAVE this car? If so, why can't
you just weigh it? They have those drive-on scales at landfills and
dumps, places you buy sand and gravel, grain elevators, truck weigh-in
depots, and any other industrial place that sells truckloads of
product by weight.

I'm not being disrespectful, and maybe you're thinking, "sheesh, of
course if I HAD the car I'd weigh it!" But, as a person who tends to
get caught up in looking for an answer online when it's really right
in front of me, I just figured I'd point out the obvious. :-)

Happy driving -- K~

no, smarty pants, I do not have the car. you're not being
disrespectful, you're being presumptuous, which is worse.
