I'm looking for details on what the wedding looked like for CS Lewis
(to Joy Gresham) or JRR Tolkien (to Edith Bratt).

A good answer will include details on the liturgy for their ceremony.
What scriptures were read? What traditions were included?

One will earn the answer price... Two will double it (in the form of a tip).

(I'm planning a ceremony for my own wedding and am looking to great ones for advice)

Of course CS Lewis married Joy at her bedside, but it's unclear what
was said during the ceremony. Scriptures?

I am greatly devoted to reading books about CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien,
and I've never encountered any details of their wedding ceremonies. I
wish I could help, but I doubt that the information you're seeking is
available. I hope another Researcher can prove me wrong, since I would
love to learn more about the lives of these interesting and admirable
men.

If it's any help, JRR & Edith Tolkien were married on Wednesday, March
22, 1916, at St Mary Immaculate Church in Warwick.

As Pinkfreud notes, precise details of the ceremony are likely
unavailable. It's a long shot, but I suppose that you could try
asking the church if they have any information. Parish records might
include witnesses in attendance at the wedding.

Good luck!

One more note about the Tolkien wedding...

According to page 134 of the book, "Tolkien and the Great War: The
Threshold of Middle-earth," the wedding ceremony wasn't a Nuptial
Mass, as it was Lent at the time.

Since both these men where anglicans, and both were orthodox, I would
obtain a copy of the minister's handbook published by the anglican
church for each of the years in question. Both being orthodox
anglicans, I would assume they would want an orthodox ceremony, but
who knows?

Mathbeast's suggestion would be inapplicable in Tolkien's case, as
JRRT wasn't Anglican and wasn't married in an Anglican church or
ceremony.
