Hello pablov-ga,

Why are the guides you cited not suitable? What searching skills would
you like to improve? It would be helpful if you gave us an example of
a search you conducted with unsatisfactory results so that we could
see the type of search problems you're asking us to solve. I look
forward to your clarification.

Hello pablov-ga,

You said, "I don't have a specific issue with a query. I believe that
there is better way to search than I do." Unless you tell us what is
the way you search now there is no way for us to figure out how you
might do it better. Take a look at this question I answered recently
that deals with a similar issue.

Tell me about some frustrating searches you've made so I can get some
idea of what you're doing. Then I might be able to come up with some
suggestions for improving your search techniques.

Hello pablov-ga,

Thank you for the clarification. I see why you?re having a hard time.
Locating market research information is sometimes quite difficult
depending on the industry you?re investigating. This type of
information is frequently only available from expensive market
research reports.

I?m still not clear about the scope of your current question. Are you
asking us to give you strategies and techniques to help you find the
information about the number of alternative medicine practitioners?
Or, are you asking us to do the research for you?

I look forward to your clarification.

hi czh,

Those are basically good guides for basic research.
I want to improve my skills beyond that.
I don't have a specific issue with a query. I believe that there is
better way to search than I do.
One of the problems might be that I am not a native english speaker as
you noticed. sometimes I am not sure that I am using the best words to
describe what I am looking for.
I hope that this clarify your question.
Tnx

Hi Pablov, if the issue is one to do with limited vocabluary rather
than actually how to perform an effective search, perhaps I could
suggest a thesaurus? It would give you other words to describe what
you're searching for that are perhaps more in use than the ones that
you use. Because of this, the number of relevant hits would hopefully
increase. We all get mental blocks from time to time which can be
frustrating.

A good online thesaurus can be found here:

I'm sure that the others on Google Answers will be able to make other
suggestions as well.
