I offer this in an effort to inform about my changing interest in this
online theologian and author and preacher, whom I might add, I came
into this question having a high respect for and even imagined him as
a sort of Jesus like character from his extensive web site writings.
In this spirit I emailed Dr. Truluck and I share the resultant email conversation:

Dear Dr. Truluck,
I have submitted a question to Google Answers and I thought you might
like to monitor the response:

My question was:
DR. REMBERT S. TRULUCK has a website: http://www.truluck.com and
claims:Doctor of Theology from Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary,Louisville, KY, 1968. Southern Baptist Pastor from 1953 to
1973,Professor of Religion at Baptist College of Charleston, SC,
1973-1981.His interpretation of the Bible suggests that a Biblical
admonitionfor gay behavior is a misinterpretation. If he is right,
then thisflies in the face of Christian conservatives at a time when
gay rightsis a central piece of current social activism. My question:
I am unable to authenticate Dr. Truluck or know hisactual credentials
and standing in the theological community. Can yougive me some
reference or anything to help establish his credentialsand
standing?========================================Regards,Bill

This is one answer to "How stupid can you get!"
<<TO DR. TRULUCK>>
Dr. Truluck, I am confused at your response. The intention was to get
support and confidence in your analysis and interpretation.
<<FROM DR. TRULUCK>>
It did not come across that way! My website speaks for itself. I do
not need anybody to try to prove my credentials! You are out of
order, and I have no further reply to you.

Dr. Truluck, I am a gay person trying to find my way. I'm sure in
retrospect that your unchristian response may seem inappropriate. Perhaps
you have completely misread this.
And God shuts off no person.
I used some of your arguments on a web page of mine; perhaps a read of this
page will change your opinion.
