My brother is 18, from Hong Kong and currently studies at a high
school in Canada, graduating May 2006. He is an excellent artist(top
artist in his class, has received numerous awards from HK, attended a
summer program at Emily Carr Institute), and interested in animation.
He want to leave the option of getting a good visual art degree, but
he really wanted to have a rounded undergraduate experience at this
point, not a purely technical art school. Considering he is a B-
student academically (not exactly smart with books, not fluent in
english, need to take tofel), what is the list of schools he should
look at, both in the US and Canada, that is a normal 3/4 year college,
with a reasonably good art program (preferably multimedia art), so he
can keep all his options open?
To whoever can answer my question, I have a couple followup questions
on what he should focus on for his application, how he should prepare
his portfolio, etc. I will post those as separate questions after I
receive an answer on this one. Thanks. |
