I have a relative who wants to give away an old mobile home that she owns. She cannot find the title to it and has heard that unless she transfers the title she could be held responsible if anything happens. It's a very old trailer and could easily come loose from the hitch while on the road, etc. She wants to give it away and has plenty of people willing to come to pick it up, but she doesn't want to be sued later! Please advise what the law would be in the state of Ohio. | |

I think in Ohio if you've lost title you can go to a title bureau and get a replacement copy of the title and then she will have the title to sign over to someone. |
