I am one of 3 women currently writing a business plan to distribute
and market a line of fitness wear to the plus size market in Canada
and eventually to expand into the United States.

With a rise in obesity rates in Canada, major retailers embracing the
Plus Size market with more apparel options and the growth in women's
gyms, the lack of technical fitness wear in Canada for the non size
zero woman, we believe there is a real opportunity in Canada.  We're
very much aware of the players in the US including Junonia - a US
based company offering a plus size fitness line, however nobody seems
to have heard of them in Canada and who wants to pay $US.

We would like to build some facts and figures that will assist us in
clearly defining the size of this market in Canada.  We have been
unsuccessful to date in locating the following information.

What we would like to know...

1. How much do Canadians spend on plus size apparel
2. How much do Canadians spend on fitness wear in Canada - if there is
a break down in terms of how much the plus size market spends on
fitness wear, that would be even better!

3. Growth trends in independent female gyms in Canada

4. Please also indicate any trends or information about our target or
point us in the right direction. For instance, any information related
to Plus size fitness oriented women in Canada.
