Poster search. I have had no success in finding a photograph/poster
entitled "a Saint Germain des Pre 1959" by Sergio Larrain, depicting a
small roadster with the numerals "38" on the driver's side and parked
at the curb in front of Deux Magots cafe in Paris. Can someone find it
for me? I have tried several google searches w/o results on the
particular photograph. |

Hello Legoff,
I found an online poster shop located in China that carries the
photograph you described by photographer Sergio Larrain.
This poster is available in the following sizes:
30x42 cms
60x90 cms.
13x18 cms.
40x60 cms.
Since the webpage is in Chinese I cannot tell you if they do
international shipping.
I can provide you with:
- A small online image of this photograph ( 7.5cms. by 5.5cms) where
you may verify that it?s the correct image.
- The phone number and email address of this online poster vendor.
- A direct link to the page where you may purchase this poster online.
( in Chinese)
Please let me know if this information would be a satisfactory answer
to your question.
Thanks,
Bobbie7

Bobbie, you are a genius, but I must know, in fact how to order the
poster, and, as you intimated, ordering might be difficult to
impossible. Perhaps you could query him in English for further info?
Or continue trying to find a source in the western world; I just
cannot understand why this particular poster is so difficult to
locate.
Good luck.

Legoff,
Magnum Photos is a photographic co-operative in which Sergio Larrain is a member.
http://www.magnumphotos.com/c/Home_MAG.aspx?Stat=Menu_Home
Sergio Larrain http://www.magnumphotos.com/c/htm/TreePf_MAG.aspx?Stat=Photographers_Portfolio&E=2TYRYDYJVHFC
I sent off an email to the person in charge of print sales and
exhibitions at Magnum asking about the photograph you want.
http://www.magnumphotos.com/Static/AboutMagnumContact.htm
I received a reply to my email a few minutes ago. They told me that
Sergio Larrain's work is not for sale any longer. They also said that
he has retreated to the Chilean mountains as a Buddhist monk and no
longer wishes his work to be sold.
Best regards,

Hello Bobbie,
Many thanks for all the work you have done on this project.
I would like to make a major increase in the fee to $350.00, and
change the question to read :
Poster search. I have had no success in finding a
photograph/posterentitled "a Saint Germain des Pre 1959" by Sergio
Larrain, depicting asmall roadster with the numerals "38" on the
driver's side and parkedat the curb in front of Deux Magots cafe in
Paris. Can someone find itfor me? I have tried several google searches
w/o results on theparticular photograph.
the addition: In order to generate a winning answer to this question,
I must have information enabling me to actually purchase an
appropriate size ((12?X18?, or thereabouts) poster suitable for
framing (or already framed) at a cost acceptable to me. When my order
to the supplier arrives, the $350.00 fee will be awarded.
Bobbie, I am open to suggestions...what do you think? As you can see,
I am obsessed with this poster. I even emailed the Chinese american
chamber of commerce (no reply)
Best

Legoff,
The maximum price allowed for a question at Google Answers is $200.
An additional $100 tip can be given to the researcher who answers your question.
(You can change the price of your question by going to "My Account,"
selecting "My Unanswered Questions", clicking on the question, and
then clicking on "Change Question Parameters" to modify the pricing.)
Perhaps a commenter or a researcher at Google Answers who knows
Chinese will be able to translate the Dadaposter Webpage where this
poster is available.

Good luck,
