I have a 1997 Ford Explorer 4 door and would like to find information on how to repair a rear drivers side door that will not open from the inside or from the outside. If the door would open one way I could take it apart and figure it out but being closed I am at a loss for how to proceed. I Ihave found a few things on the internet but nothing of value to me. Thanks |

What I have found may not be of value either, but here it is anyway. This has some good pictures: http://www.muthco.com/techsupport/pdfs/21000160.pdf This sounds like your exact problem and sounds like it is possible to get the door panel off without having the door open: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.autos.makers.ford.explorer/browse_thread/thread/aadc565db19def53/7154279315b53e52%237154279315b53e52?sa=X&oi=groupsr&start=1&num=3 You might look at these too: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-135023.html http://groups.google.com/group/rec.autos.makers.ford.explorer/browse_thread/thread/cb0985f9344dfb22/24b3856db9c220fd%2324b3856db9c220fd?sa=X&oi=groupsr&start=2&num=3 http://experts.about.com/q/780/3907224.htm Hope this helps. |
